Sculpture Symposium
Icheon ISSI
The Icheon International Sculpture Symposium (ISSI) has been held in Haewol-ri, Majang-myeon, the first, and Jangam-ri, Majang-myeon, and after that, Seolbong Park and Oncheon Park, starting with the theme of the first "Love and Peace" in July 1998. Until recently, it has become a representative international sculpture symposium in Icheon involving domestic and foreign professional sculptors.
We invite domestic and foreign artists to create achievements such as promoting international exchanges, succession of historical values of international sculpture culture, expanding opportunities for citizens to enjoy sculpture culture, and enhancing the image of a cultural city. 198 artists from 52 countries participated in the event by setting changed topics every year for 25 years, and it has a total of 270 public places such as Seolbong Park, Hot Spring Park, Waterfront Park, and government offices. The Icheon International Sculpture Symposium strives to discover middle-aged and emerging artists through an annual contest.
